You need to go back to your market research
You need a clear strategy on your most profitable keywords. You also need to determine whether you need a strong focus on your local market or if you should be targeting keywords nationally. Realize that meta keywords are only used by your competitor to see what you want to rank for. Google still doesn’t use them. Pick a list of words relevant to your business. Then create separate lists ofthese keywords for each country. Focus on “long-tail keywords” -- keywords
that are very specific to your business and the products/services you offer. For
example: marketing is a broad keyword that will be hard to get traffic for, and
inbound marketing software is a long-tail keyword with less competition that
will be easier to get traffic for. Google Search Console Help Center has a set of instructions that you can follow on how to build and submit a sitemap. If you have a WordPress site, though, you can sit back and relax as a sitemap is already automatically generated and submitted to search engines for you. Including a Contact Us page on your website and putting the link in the navigation not only makes for good user experience (especially if you have an ecommerce site) but can also potentially earn you some Google juice.
Make your keywords as specific as possible
Optimization is the key to ensuring that search engines rank your website favorably in their results. But in order for optimization to work, the content on your site needs to be awesome! Many people fixate on "on-page SEO" in their marketing efforts. They make sure their keywords are jammed in the copy and the internal links and silos are set up correctly. For a typical WordPress site this might take an hour or two to knock out the easy stuff. Don’t use hidden text or links on your website to optimize your site for search engines. Some webmasters will try to make text or links invisible to visitors but visible to search engine spiders. One way they do this is to use white text on a white background. Search engines can now easily spot this sort of behavior, so it will not help your site rank at all. Most SEO consults cover a local area. In the early days of SEO, it was the quantity, not quality of links that mattered. “Link building” consisted of mass spamming and buying of links, online directory submissions, building bad links, mass commenting on sites and blogs and using automated link bait. Some users might link to your page using the URL of that page as theanchor text. If your URL contains relevant words, this provides
users and search engines with more information about the page
than an ID or oddly named parameter would.
Write Powerful & Captivating Headlines
Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant from SEO Hull, commented: "Invest time and efforts into guest blogging as well while maintaining an active blog on your site. Choose relevant, popular websites for your guest posts and embed intelligent links in your article. Initially, add one backlink per post that adds value to the content and is pertinent to the underlying theme. However, once you have developed a rapport with the host website, they might be willing to include more than one link per post. " If you maintain a blog, of course you want the traffic to your blog to grow. But what if it doesn’t? What if the traffic to your blog is (slightly) decreasing? What do you do? All sites have a home or "root" page, which is usually the mostfrequented page on the site and the starting place of navigation for
many visitors. Unless your site has only a handful of pages, you
should think about how visitors will go from a general page
(your root page) to a page containing more specific content. Once the Search Engines crawls the web and comes across the new pages, it then indexes or stores the information in its giant database categorically, to be retrieved later when any search query related to it comes up. These giant database storage facilities is capable of processing large amount of information really quickly. Every SEO strategy focusing on making the best website possible, will make a website more usable and user-friendly.
